Pipeline Surveys for Safer Communities

What Are Pipeline Surveys?
Pipeline surveys take place throughout the year with the majority of the surveys taking place from spring through fall each year. Our trained technicians and contractors inspect the full length of our pipelines on a rotating schedule checking more than 21,000 kilometers of pipeline across Alberta to ensure their integrity. Pipelines cross both public and private land, so technicians may occasionally need access to your property or may be seen crossing your property. Surveys require no digging, cause no disturbance, and will not affect your natural gas service.
How We Notify You About Surveying Work
If we need to access your property for a survey, we’ll make every reasonable effort to let you know in advance. Surveying is non-intrusive and does not affect your energy service. For updates on survey activity in your community, follow Apex Utilities on social media.
