Protect Yourself From Utility Scams
Each year, Canadians lose millions of dollars to utility scams. Scammers may use phone calls, emails, text messages, or in-person visits to impersonate a utility company and pressure you into giving out personal or payment information.
Tips:
- Verify authenticity: Our employees and contractors wear Apex-branded clothing and carry company-issued identification. Ask to see ID anytime.
- Stop the scam: We will never ask for your credit card information by phone or email. We will also never text you asking for personal details. If something feels suspicious, stop the interaction immediately and call us.
