Construction Projects

Upgrades to Improve Safety and Reliability

Each year, we undertake planned construction projects to ensure the continued reliability and safety of our gas system by replacing sections of our utility distribution infrastructure. These projects are part of the Apex Utilities System Betterment Program, which includes replacing PVC, Non-Certified Polyethylene, Steel pipelines, and regulating stations. It is a 30-year initiative to ensure our communities continue to have safe, reliable natural gas service for many years to come.

Public safety is our number one priority!

Construction sites pose various hazards to the general public. Our employees and contractors make it their number one priority to protect the public. Construction sites are protected by barricading, fencing, and posting signage to prevent the entrance of unauthorized personnel. For your safety, please do not enter our construction sites.

Construction Notices

Before the commencement of our projects, construction notices will be delivered to customers directly impacted by our construction work. These letters provide timelines and contact information for the project. We also aim to keep our communities informed by providing public notice of our construction projects in local newspapers and on social media.
